There is an abundance of fiercely talented female stars coming out of the UK at the moment - festival organisers take note - and the latest to caress our ears with tales of heartbreak is London singer/songwriter Hollie Carmen.
The up-and-coming artist - who was brought up on Prince, Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu and is influenced by Dua Lipa and Frank Ocean - worked with Mabel and Lily Allen producer Oscar Scheller on her brand new single 'Plan B', which is out now for your listening pleasure.
The jingly track will put a spring in your step and is the first taste of Hollie's forthcoming debut EP 'Plan B', which is released on March 20th.
Speaking about the meaning behind the raw and honest track, Hollie said it's "about finally finding my voice after a relationship I gave so much to, and that I should’ve walked away from long before I actually did, ended.
"It’s about finding my power and being honest with myself about how I’d been treated. "
Hollie will launch the record with a show at London's Waiting Room on March 19th.
Tickets are on sale on Friday (01.03.19) from Live Nation.
