Album Review: half•alive - Now, Not Yet

LA-based indie trio half•alive are truly masters of sonic experimentation.

On 'Creature' you feel like you are on another planet with trippy spacey-instrumentals.

'Ice Cold' will have you dancing with funky bass and the addition of a soothing, sometimes choral, sultry female vocal, alongside soulful rap verses that wouldn't sound out of place on a Chance the Rapper album.

'Pure Gold' provides a joyous cinematic experience, whilst closing number 'Trust' melds R&B, funk and soul with rap and soaring power vocals.

Josh Taylor, Brett Kramer and J Tyler Johnson provide an aural experience like no other on their first major label album, 'Now, Not Yet'.
