Frontman Jamie Bower says:
“It Gets Better is a deeply personal song and its message cuts right to the heart of who we are.
"Our goal is to bring people together, to dismantle the barriers that divide us as a species and to make a change in the world.
"We are in a time of need.
"We need to come together and to learn to love again.
"Learn to listen again. Learn to talk again. Learn to feel again.
"Learn to let go and let in.
"It’s a small start but if we try, I do believe that we can start to change things because I myself have learnt that with these small steps it does indeed get better.”
Fresh from their triumphant debut on the main stage at Reading and Leeds and a signing to Lava Records/Virgin EM UK, UK pop punks Counterfeit have dropped their boldest offering to date in new single 'It Gets Better'.
Frontman Jamie Bower - who, if you didn't know, plays Young Gellert Grindelwald in 'Fantastic Beats: The Crimes of Grindelwald' - asserts authority with his Yungblud-style vocal delivery on the powerful anthemic chorus and bridge.
The song - which is the band's first since 2017 debut LP 'Together We Are Stronger' - climaxes with soaring guitars over the motivational motto, 'Stand up get loud if you feel like it/Stay up have fun don't you ever quit'.
The five-piece sound recharged with their refreshed sound and achieve the perfect balance between heavy and melodic with a crisp pop-leaning production.
Counterfeit head out on a UK and European tour next month, which kicks off in Rome on October 25th and includes a stop at London’s Scala on December 2nd.
The run follows a bunch of shows in North America.
