“I wrote this song about crushing hard on a girl who didn’t want me back. It’s about the sexual frustration of wanting someone so bad but knowing they just don’t like you like that,” GIRLI aka Milly Toomey says of her rousing new single, 'More Than A Friend'.

The latest track from the popular London singer-songwriter follows February's 'Ex Talk' EP and comes with a self-directed music video.

GIRLI's raw honesty and relatability is no doubt a major factor in 'Ex Talk' reaching in excess of 1.3 million streams.

Meanwhile, GIRLI is set to play London's iconic Bush Hall on July 9 to mark two decades of the venue, plus she recently joined the bill for August's ALT+LDN festival alongside the likes of Machine Gun Kelly, Architects and Lil Yachty.

Check out GIRLI's podcast, ‘GIRLI IRL’, which features special guests from the LGBTQ+ community here.
