Newcomer hidingthehurt is back with a relatable slice of emo-rap.
The teen provides an empathetic shoulder to lean on with his latest single, 'Wait4Me'.
The 18-year-old rising talent pours his heart out over a concoction of glitchy beats produced by lil biscuit.
Speaking about his goals for his career, hidingthehurt - whose real name is Ollie Greenhalgh - said: "I want to help people who are going through the same motions I am."
Just like mainstream stars Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo, hidingthehurt's coming-of-age music is an outlet for his emotions.
He explained: “I suffer from depression and anxiety so my days are hard - this isn’t a façade or a fad, it’s all real."
Inspired by the likes of Lil Peep, Kid Cudi, Alanis Morissette, The Smiths and Joy Division, hidingthehurt's signature sound teeters between pop and punk; like Charli XCX crossed with Machine Gun Kelly - and that's not a bad thing.
'Wait4Me' follows a slew of singles, including 'Tell Me', 'The Station' and 'Guess I Meant Nothing To You', which featured on Spotify's Hyperpop playlist.
And a tonne more are on the way ... watch this space!
