Maya Delilah is doing her bit to lift spirits during lockdown.
The young singer/songwriter penned soothing track 'Safe' - which shows off her spellbinding and effortless vocal - after she was forced to move in with a friend after her sister had to self-isolate and she literally found her new "safe" place.
The song is officially released via Spotify on Friday (01.05.20), and is dedicated to the NHS workers fighting the coronavirus on the frontline, and Maya is going to donate the profits to a UK charity.
She said: “I wrote ‘Safe’ as a huge dedication to the NHS and all front liners across the world right now.
"I really just want to say thank you to them - we are able to be safe with our loved ones whilst they risk their lives to help those in need.”
In the meantime, check out the heartwarming DIY video, which saw Maya turn to social media to get clips from family, friends and fans around the world showing their safe space and inspired others to create their own versions.
She added: “It was actually a lot of fun getting friends and fans involved, especially as people from all over the world wanted to be a part of it, so it became a very special thing to see the final video. It’s very lovely and wholesome to see other people making their own versions too, the more the merrier.” 'Safe' is produced by Stephen Barnes (Loic Nottet and Thomas Headon).
