The Dunts drop new single Bad Decisions

Our favourite Glaswegians The Dunts have dropped brand new single 'Bad Decisions'.

The self-proclaimed 'council punk' rockers - championed by man-of-the-moment Gerry Cinnamon - have followed up the EPs 'Not Working Is Class’ and ‘Self Proclaimed Council Punk’ with an instant party-starter.

'Bad Decisions' might reflect on the "paranoia and despair" one can feel after a night out on the lash, but this naughty number makes us want to immediately crack open a full case of beers.

The Indie banger has us in a sweat from the start, with full-throttle frantic guitars and blistering drums.

On the meaning behind the feisty track, bassist Div McFarlane said:

“Bad Decisions’ is probably the most self explanatory title to a song we have ever written.

"It's about reflecting on the inevitable realisation that the pursuit of pleasure and hedonism can lead to paranoia and despair.”

Frontman Rab Smith added:

“We've all been there. Lying in bed after a night out wondering where it all went wrong.

"How one transitions from a state of frivolity to one of distress in a matter of hours - that's what the song is about.

"We all pledge to take it easier next time, cut down the drink, cut down the nonsense, make wiser decisions, but it seldom ever happens.

"So this song is an ode to those bad decisions you make every single time."

We recently caught up with Rab, who told us how fellow Glaswegian Mr. Cinnamon is paving the way for bands like them.

He said: "Gerry is killing it all over the place right now, well deserved."

Asked if they are friends, he replied: "To be fair, I'd love to be able to say I'm pals with Gerry but I don't think any of us have ever met him so don't think I'd get away with coming out in an interview and saying we're pals, but our management team are pals with him.

"We've obviously been fans of his and been watching how he's been killing it for a while.

"He's followed us back on Twitter and Instagram and he's liked some of our posts I'm sure - so it's all friendly.

"I'm sure our paths will meet properly at some point and I'll tell him about how he's set the blueprint and paved the way for scheme boys from Glasgow wanting to make it big."

Asked if they would like to team up with Gerry on a track, Ray said: "If the chance came up of course we'd collaborate with him, who wouldn't?"

We are pretty sure he'd be down for it too, especially as he retweeted the interview!
