WILLOW - aka Willow Smith - goes full-on-goth on her new single, 'Transparent Soul'.
Featuring Blink-182's Travis Barker, the punk rock-tinged track marks the start of a new chapter in the 20-year-old singer's career, which sees her swap out the pop and R&B sound she became known for ('Whip Your Hair') for rock.
However, it wasn't an easy transition to make, as Willow admitted she needed to "let go of the insecurities" she had about fully flexing her alternative music muscle.
Willow said in a statement: “I am so grateful for this tune because it was created in such an introspective time (during the first couple months of quarantine).
“It was the song that proved to me that I needed to let go of the insecurities I had about making a project of this genre."

It's no surprise that WILLOW has decided to embrace her love of rock music, as her famous mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, fronts the metal band Wicked Wisdom.
'Transparent Soul' is set to feature on WILLOW's upcoming fifth studio album.
WILLOW's influences include My Chemical Romance, Avril Lavigne and Paramore.
